Playing catch-up

Ever since I discovered pinterest, the amount of blogging time has been cut back severely :P So now I'm playing catch-up!

Due to Mike's break between classes, Jasper and I have been so blessed to be able to spend more time with Mike. We have been getting things done around the house such as rearranging our living room, fixing broken doors and bookshelves, and cleaning/organizing the house. We have also been able to do fun things like catch up on our Big Bang Theory, go the park with Chewy and Jasper, burn fires in Mike's new chiminae, and chase Jasper around the house. Seriously, Jasper is LOVING having Mike home. Since Mike isn't home often, he is taking every chance he can get to play and love on Jasper and picks him up at all the time. Boy, Jasper has him wrapped around his little finger! It has been so nice not having to do everything around the house and it is nice to take breaks from chasing Jasper so much. We are not looking forward to him going back to school at all!


We were able to go down to Mike's parent's house to celebrate Christmas together. It was so nice to be around family. I thought Jasper was going to be super clingy like he was at Thanksgiving at my parent's house, but that wasn't the case. Jasper loved exploring Grandma and Grandpa's house and playing with his cousins Phoenix and Griffin. They ran all over the house playing and loved watching Grandma cook in the kitchen. Jasper would even crawl into my father-in-laws lap (that's a huge deal for Jasper) and wanted my mother-in-law to hold him all the time. We are so lucky to live so close to family.


Jasper and I were able to go down to my parent's house for a couple of days around New Years to visit with my sister who is home visiting from Hawaii and my Uncle Brent's family visiting from South Carolina. Again, Jasper had a blast exploring the house and playing with my family.


Speaking of Jasper, he is a crazy walking machine! He walks all over the place and will be running as soon as he figures it out. He is loving his independence and I am loving that he likes to play by himself sometimes ;) He loves playing with Chewy and wants him to chase after him when he has his ball. He still isn't sleeping well at night, but that might be due to the fact that he now has 6 teeth that have cut through. He is still a super picky eater, but we are slowly finding foods that he likes for more than just a day.

Right now we are all trying to recover from a cold, with Jasper being the one has been effected the more. Poor guy can't breathe through his nose. :( Looks like it is still going to be a long night tonight...
